How To Buy Records as a DJ

Well, first off have some fun!  Buying records as a DJ can be one of the most addictive things you値l do.  You can literally spent hours deciding on which records to purchase.

If you are lucky enough to be one of those big name DJs that have the record companies just send you records by the truckload to your house, then hunting down records aren稚 a really big concern.  But for the 99.9 rest of us, we致e got to get records the old fashioned way.

First off, see if there are any underground record shops in your area.  These record shops have a TON of old used records that were just made for scratching. Plus as an added bonus, you値l get the records dirt cheap.  Nobody really opens underground record shops for its revenue.  

Also introduce yourself to the owners and the people working there.   Network a little.  Become friends with them. Chances are they know people who know people, if you catch my drift.  Plus, they値l probably give you some kind of discount if you keep giving them business.  Not to mention you have their expert knowledge at your disposal.

Spend the entire day there.  Go through as many records as you can get your hands on.  You値l be surprised at how fast the day goes just listening to music.
